We like to say that confiscated by a masquerade scene from a questionable vampire movie in which (real) vampires pretend to be human actors playing vampire characters in front of a human audience, we misuse theatricality as a way to get to the character behind the person and worse. When the double play on illusion becomes a double play on reality, we call it a seànce summoning along, an exercise for humans, a real masquerade. And we only exist because nobody believes in us.(That is how we feed).

What does this make you? You Want It Darker' is a fictional study on real fear and several dark dialogues between different layers of performing. And the performers are only fear facilitators. Sometimes we can all rest in one recognizable modality, but this is just a break in an aesthetic experience that makes the world like we know it stop.

Our practice is a continuous meta negotiation between debilitating doubt and illusion-affirming availability, supporting each other or denouncing the other's choice of a code or modality; approaching performance mainly as a seànce summoning along, an exercise for humans. It addresses issues of subjectivity, language, theatre and perception. A continuous performative practice performance between Romanian writer and performer Adriana Gheorghe and Susanne Grau taking the shape of a theatre premiere in Cologne in March, 2018, an almost theatre piece in December2017 in KuLe House, Berlin and at noon devil time at PACT and, last but not least, a 4 hours durational practice in a gallery in Bucharest during Durational Life Theory program (2018)
