What if meaningful language is not an ultimately human possession? What if the language we speak today first emerged in response to a living, expressive yawn – a stuttering response not only to others of our species but to an enigmatic cosmos that was already speaking to us in a multitude of languages?

A choreographic exploration of the affective potential of yawning bodies and the invisible exchanges between bodies and their surroundings – inspired by Chasmology, the scientific study of yawning, and other mythical narratives.
